Today I was privileged to see two beautiful things. One was the sight of a young man in a small town’s veterans day parade. The young man is a marine who lost all but one arm when he stepped on an IED fighting for our country. The other was a very elderly couple- the husband in a wheelchair- who struggled and fought the cold weather to come out and solute him. With tears in my eyes, GOD BLESS AMERICA AND THOSE WHO DEFEND AND STAND BEHIND HER. Thank you to our military.
And today, at this moment, I’m truly very happy. Happy veterans day. I’m so thankful to be an American. Thank you to our men and women in our armed forces. My deepest love and respect goes out to you today and everyday. Everyday is independence day because of your efforts. It is because of these individuals that we are the worlds most elite country devoted to helping all in need without question. Thank you.
In this life, you’re going to fall down. You are going to make mistakes. The important part is that you learn from them and surround yourself with people that will always be there to pick you back up and dust you off. So when things aren’t going as planned or you took a wrong turn somewhere along the road, keep that chin up and pull your friends and family close. Push through the stormy times because it can’t rain forever.
Don’t be afraid to see what you see
